'Halloween Ends': Producer Jason Blum Discusses Whether the Next Sequel is Michael Myers' Final Movie

I often hear the following question: Will Halloween Ends be Michael Myers’ final movie? The answer to that is obviously no. However, it could be a good few years before Michael Myers makes his return in a future Halloween movie. As you probably know, Blumhouse only have a three-picture deal, so Ends will be their final Halloween movie. Jason Blum, who is the CEO of Blumhouse and the producer of Halloween Ends, explained exactly what the deal is in a new interview this week with Screen Rant. While talking Halloween Ends with the site, Blum shared the following details:

I didn’t say it’s gonna be the last Halloween movie. It’s our last Halloween movie,” Blum told the site. “We have no more rights to make any more Halloween, so it goes back to Malek [Akkad] and what he does, only he knows, but we are done. This is our last one, and I think people will be very happy.

Halloween Ends will see Jamie Lee CurtisAndi Matichak, and Kyle Richards reprise their roles in the film as Laurie Strode, Allyson Strode, and Lindsey Wallace. Actor Michael O’Leary recently joined the cast as Doctor Mathis. Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney will both return to the role of the boogeyman Michael Myers.
