'Halloween Kills': 1978 Flashback Michael Myers Actor Airon Armstrong Shares Image of Eye Damaged Boogeyman

As you have probably learned if you frequent our website, Halloween Kills actor/stunt coordinator Airon Armstrong played Michael Myers in the film’s flashback scene to the events of 1978, which take place moments after the Boogeyman was shot off the top of the balcony by his own psychiatrist Dr. Loomis. In a new image shared today via Armstrong’s Instagram account we have a clear shot of Michael’s damaged eye from his encounter with heroine Laurie Strode earlier that same night. Take a better look at the wound in the gallery below.

You can check out a shot (below) of make-up artist Christopher Nelson applying the prosthetic eyepiece along with a clearer shot of Armstrong wearing the appliance under the mask.

Halloween Kills, the middle chapter in the Larue Strode Vs. Michael Myers saga, has the following synopsis:

And the Halloween night when Michael Myers returned isn’t over yet.

Minutes after Laurie Strode (Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) left masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie’s basement, Laurie is rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she finally killed her lifelong tormentor.

But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie’s trap, his ritual bloodbath resumes. As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster.

The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all.

Evil dies tonight.

Nelson’s Halloween Kills flashback mask is without a doubt the closet thing to the original shatner mask since Rick Rosenthal’s 1981 sequel Halloween II. Can you imagine an entire Halloween movie set in 1978 with that mask? That could be one direction for the franchise to go in the future.

The film stars Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, Nancy Stephens as Nurse Marion Chambers, Charles Cyphers as Leigh Brackett, Anthony Michael Hall as the adult Tommy Doyle, Kyle Richards as the adult Lindsey Wallace, and Robert Longstreet as the adult Lonnie Elam.

Did you notice the prosthetic eye in the film’s flashback scene? What about Michael’s knitting needle hole on the left side of the masks neck? You can let us know the answers to both questions by dropping a comment down in our discussion section below this article.

Halloween Kills is out in theaters and streaming on Peacock right now.
