‘Halloween Kills’ Officially Rated R for Grisly Images and Strong Bloody Violence Throughout

Halloween Kills, directed by David Gordon Green and starring the returning Jamie lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, will apparently feature “twice the thrills and ten times the kills.” We still have a good 10 months before we get to find out just how bloody gruesome the next Halloween movie is going to be. Backing up these claims are the folks at the MPPA website, who have officially slapped Halloween Kills with an “R” rating today.

From the MPPA website: Halloween Kills will feature “strong bloody violence throughout, grisly images, language and some drug use.

John Carpenter is confirmed to provide new scores for both sequels. The third film will wrap up the Laurie Strode and Michael Myers saga.

The film also stars Nancy Stephens, reprising her role as Nurse Marion Chambers, Charles Cyphers will reprise his role as Leigh Brackett, Anthony Michael Hall will play Tommy Doyle, Kyle Richards will reprise her role as the adult Lindsey Wallace, Jibrail Nantambu will return as Julian, Robert Longstreet has been cast as the adult Lonnie Elam, Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney are returning to play the role of Michael Myers.

Halloween Kills will stalk theaters on October 15th, 2021, followed by Halloween Ends on October 14th, 2022.
