'Happy Death Day 3': Blumhouse Head Jason Blum Gives Update on Third Movie

After two successful movies, a third installment in the Happy Death Day series could be on the horizon. Blumhouse head Jason Blum revealed in a recent interview with Screen Rant that a third movie has been discussed with the director of the previous two installments Christopher Landon.

While promoting The Black Phone, Blumhouse CEO Jason Blum shared the following information regarding Happy Death Day 3:

Guess who I had lunch with yesterday? Mr. Christopher Landon,” Blum told the site. “And guess what we discussed? Happy Death Day 3. We discussed it. I’m not saying we’re doing it, but we discussed it. It was very much on the top of our minds. I’m not saying we’re doing it, but I’m not saying we’re not doing it.

It sounds like a sure thing that a third movie in the popular horror series will happen eventually somewhere down the line. After Halloween Ends is released this October, Blumhouse might then decide to focus their attention on getting that third Happy Death Day installment into production.
