Is Beetlejuice 2 Actually Happening? Winona Ryder Gives An Update Of Sorts

We have all heard about Michael Keaton wanting to reprise his role in Beetlejuice 2, and Winona Ryder also wants to return. The planned Beetlejuice 2 seems to be nowhere near to becoming a reality, the project is still in limbo.

We do have an update of sorts for you from Winona Ryder, which has come from a recent interview with Collider.

“I don’t really know what’s going on with that,” Ryder told the site. “Obviously, it was an iconic film. The only way it could really ever be done is with Tim [Burton] and Michael [Keaton]. I don’t know. There’s something that really resonates with all ages, with that film. It’s interesting. I think it would be great if it happened, if it was the right circumstances.”

“Gosh, you know you’re getting older when they’re making TV shows, sequels or plays for things that you did,” she continued. “It’s very flattering and very humbling, indeed. I heard they were making another Little Women. Mine was the fifth one, so that’s kudos to Louisa May Alcott. It’s just very flattering.”

Burton seems like a very busy person these days, he won’t be ready to do another Beetlejuice film until he’s finished with current projects. We will keep you updated if anything changes with Tim Burton’s possible Beetlejuice 2 plans.
