'Salem's Lot' Getting New Adaptation from James Wan, Gary Dauberman

We are hearing from a number of reputable sources today that New Line Cinema is moving forward with a movie adaptation of Stephen King’s 1975 vampire novel Salem’s Lot. According to the reports, the project will be produced by James Wan (The Conjuring) and executive produced and written by Gary Dauberman (The Nun).

Along with Wan and Dauberman, Roy Lee and Mark Wolper are attached to the project as producers. At this point, no director has been announced.

Synopsis from the book: “Author Ben Mears returns to ‘Salem’s Lot to write a book about a house that has haunted him since childhood only to find his isolated hometown infested with vampires. While the vampires claim more victims, Mears convinces a small group of believers to combat the undead.
