Jamie Lee Curtis Shares Emotional Farewell to the 'Halloween' Franchise After 44 Years

As you have probably heard by now, Halloween franchise heroine Jamie Lee Curtis recently wrapped filming on Halloween Ends in Savannah, Georgia. With production set to wrap on Blumhouse and director David Gordon Green‘s saga final in the coming days, Curtis’ time on the set as Laurie Strode could be her last time playing the beloved character.

In a discussion with ET Online this week, Curtis expressed her feelings leaving behind a 44 year old relationship with the Halloween franchise:

It’s very emotional. I said a farewell to a group of people that I’ve made three movies with. I’ve said farewell to a woman who I’ve inhabited for 44 years. I mean, it’s so cray cray for me. The privilege of that and the honoring of Laurie Strode and her journey has been very emotional, very painful and satisfying because a whole new group of people are on the ride.

Halloween Ends will see Jamie Lee CurtisAndi Matichak, and Kyle Richards reprise their roles in the film as Laurie Strode, Allyson Strode, and Lindsey Wallace. Actor Michael O’Leary recently joined the cast as Doctor Mathis. Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney will both return to the role of the boogeyman Michael Myers.

If this is truly her last outing as Laurie Strode, do you think the actress will missed if more Halloween movies are made in the future without her? If not, would you like to see Andi Matichak’s Allyson become the face of the franchise? As usual, you can let us know the answers to both questions down in our comments section below this post.

Halloween Ends is set to slash up theaters worldwide on October 14th2022.
