John Carpenter to Create Scores for Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends

Much like when the first announcement was made that the horror master had signed a deal to create the official soundtrack for director David Gordon Green’s Halloween 2018 sequel, franchise fans got super excited when they heard the news recently that John Carpenter might be back to score both Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends as well.

Now, in a recent update from our friends over at the ComicBook.com website, it sounds like Carpenter will indeed compose new score for both upcoming new sequels.

When asked directly, Carpenter gave a short but sweet answer:

I’m on board. Let’s go.

This is the news we have been hoping for ever since Blumhouse Productions announced that two more Halloween sequels will go into production over the next couple of years. Michael Myers fanatics can look forward to a lot of exciting projects to come involving their favorite slasher villain in the future.

Jamie Lee Curtis has signed on to star as Laurie Strode. Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney are returning to play the role of Michael Myers. Look for more casting updates to arrive in the coming weeks.

Are you happy to hear that the horror master John Carpenter will be composing new scores for both Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends? If so, are you hyped for more Michael Myers chaos in the theaters? As usual, you can share your thoughts on this down in our comments section below this post.

Halloween Kills will stalk theaters on October 16th, 2020 followed by Halloween Ends on October 15th, 2021.
