John Carpenter Describes 'Halloween Kills' as the "Ultimate Slasher" Film

Horror master John Carpenter describes Halloween Kills as a true slasher film.

We are a little over 10 months away from the official release of Blumhouse Productions and director David Gordon Green‘s Michael Myers slasher sequel Halloween Kills. And over the course of 2020, we have been hearing nothing but positive things in interviews with the cast and filmmaking crew regarding the film’s scenes of extreme brutality and bloodshed. Executive producer and composer John Carpenter, for example, continued to fuel more hype for the upcoming sequel in a recent interview with our friends over at EW.

When asked if he could tease something about the upcoming horror film Halloween Kills, the horror master said:

It’s brilliant. It’s the ultimate slasher. I mean, there’s nothing more than this one. Wow! Man.

The film stars Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, Nancy Stephens as Nurse Marion Chambers, Charles Cyphers as Leigh Brackett, Anthony Michael Hall as adult Tommy Doyle, Kyle Richards as adult Lindsey Wallace, Jibrail Nantambu as Julian, Robert Longstreet as adult Lonnie Elam, Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney are returning to play the role of Michael Myers.
