John Carpenter’s beloved 1980 cult horror slasher classic The Fog is getting a superb 4K Ultra HD collector’s edition UK Blu-Ray from the folks at Studiocanal on October 29, 2018. Head on down to check out the sick artwork, including a direct pre-order link RIGHT HERE!

The 2018 restoration of The Fog was made using the original camera negative which was scanned at 4K resolution in 16bit and we applied a HDR Dolby Vision workflow to the restoration process which resulted in the creation of a 4K DCP, HDR & SDR UHD version and a new SDR HD version which were produced with the same high technological standards as today’s biggest international film releases.

Synopses: “Strange things begin to occurs as a tiny California coastal town prepares to commemorate its centenary. Inanimate objects spring eerily to life; Rev. Malone (Hal Holbrook) stumbles upon a dark secret about the town’s founding; radio announcer Stevie (Adrienne Barbeau) witnesses a mystical fire; and hitchhiker Elizabeth (Jamie Lee Curtis) discovers the mutilated corpse of a fisherman. Then a mysterious iridescent fog descends upon the village, and more people start to die.
