'Lights Out 2': Original Movie's Director David F. Sandberg Provides Update on Sequel

The long in devolvement sequel to Lights Out “could still happen”, according to recent comments made by the original horror film’s director David F. Sandberg. Based on a short story written by Eric Heisserer (The Thing), Lights Out follows Rebecca and her boyfriend who are investigating the connection between her mother and her imaginary friend, Diana, after her stepfather is taken away from her by a supernatural entity.

While talking with Slash Film last week, Sandberg provided a short update on the long in development sequel to his 2016 horror film Lights Out:

It could still happen, although Gabriel’s getting pretty old. I don’t know if that matters. It could all take place later. But at the moment, there’s not any confirmed plans, really, but we’ve been talking about it.

The original film starred Teresa Palmer and Gabriel Bateman. Alexander DiPersia, Alicia Vela-Bailey, Billy Burke, and Maria Bello also make appearances.

Are you still up for a sequel to Lights Out? If so, would you like to see all of the original cast members return if the sequel was officially announced? As usual, you can let us know the answers to both questions down in our comments section below this article piece.
