Linda Blair Wants To Be Involved In The Exorcist TV Series

One of the scariest horror films ever made has to be the original Exorcist, directed by William Friedkin in 1973. It’s very surprising that a remake of for the film does not yet exist, which is a good thing, don’t you think? The next best idea of course is with a TV series, giving The Exorcist fresh direction.

Recently, original Exorcist star Linda Blair voiced her opinion in an interview with the guys over at Forbes. Blair went on to tell the site that she’d like to return and appear in the new Exorcist TV show.

“I am looking forward to seeing what they do,” Blair revealed to the site. “They are trying to come up with different scary stories that have to do with the paranormal and exorcism. They keep mentioning my name when they talk about it and I’m like, ‘Stop teasing me. Put up or shut up.’”

“They haven’t contacted me or reached out at all,” she continued. “If they want to play ball, let’s play ball. I should be involved but they have never invited me to. So far they have only said it to the press. We wish them all the best, we really do. Geena Davis is a huge fan of it all and I’m a huge fan of hers so of course, I’m going to wish them good luck with it. I don’t want people to fail, that’s not who I am.”

You can catch The Exorcist TV show when it premieres September 23rd on FOX.
