Mia Challis Joins the Cast of HBO Max and Director Lee Cronin’s 'Evil Dead Rise'

Another new edition to the cast of HBO Max and director Lee Lee Cronin’s upcoming horror film Evil Dead Rise has just been revealed. Deadline reports today that Actress Mia Challis (Clickbait) will play a young character named Jessica in the fifth film, which has currently completed six weeks of shooting in New Zealand as I type this.

The site notes: Challis will play Jessica, an 18-year-old girl, who is obsessed with fashion and Instagram. Jessica loves to be the center of attention, although she is smarter than she lets on…

Evil Dead Rise takes place when,

a road-weary Beth (Lily Sullivan) pays an overdue visit to her older sister Ellie (Alyssa Sutherland), who is raising three kids on her own in a cramped L.A. apartment. The sisters’ reunion is cut short by the discovery of a mysterious book deep in the bowels of Ellie’s building, giving rise to flesh-possessing demons, and thrusting Beth into a primal battle for survival as she is faced with the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable.”

Robert Tapert will produce, with franchise creator Sam Raimi and star Bruce Campbell serving as executive producers.

The film also stars Gabrielle Echols, Morgan Davies, Nell Fisher, Alyssa Sutherland and Lily Sullivan.
