'Mortal Kombat' Movie Coming To Theatres And HBO Max In April

It’s official! The Mortal Kombat movie will be releasing in theaters and HBO Max on April 16th, 2021.

The movie’s Twitter account broke the news earlier with a poster art reveal and producer Todd Garner revealed that a trailer would be coming in the new year.

The cast will feature Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion, Chin Han as Shang Tsun, Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Tadanobu Asano as Raiden, Elissa Cadwell as Nitara, and Sisi Stringer as Mileena as well as many others including Lewis Tan who is said to be playing an unknown leading character.

The film is being produced by James Wan, written by Greg Russo, and directed by Simon McQuoid.
