'Nightmare on Elm Street': Blumhouse Head Talks Rights, Wants Robert Englund Back as Freddy

It’s no secret that Blumhouse CEO Jason Blum wants to own the rights to two big horror franchises, A Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th. While promoting The Black Phone this week, Blum got into a conversation about Robert Englund and is confident he could get him to come back and play Freddy Krueger in one more Elm Street movie.

When the interviewer for ScreenRant questioned Blum on wanting the rights to A Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th, the Blumhouse CEO responded with the following:

I really do.

The discussion then turned to Robert Englund and whether or not he would return to the role of Freddy Krueger at age 75:

I could make him come back. I can get anyone back. I mean, Ellen Burstyn was 87, and I got her back in The Exorcist.

The interviewer then added: I think if anyone can do it, it’s you.

Yeah, 75-he’s young!

Do you think Robert Englund could pull off one more epic Freddy Krueger performance? Or do you agree with Robert feeling that he is too old for the part now? As usual, you can let us know the answers to both questions down in our comments section below this post.
