The original 1989 film, directed by Mary Lambert, begins when:

Louis Creed and his family move into a new home and try to settle in. However, strange things happen after Louis buries his daughter’s cat in an ancient burial ground in the forest behind their house.

Do you think Jackson White is a good choice to play the younger version of Jud? Who else would you like to see cast in the new prequel? As usual, you can sound off down in our comments section below this article to let us know your thoughts.

The film is being produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian.

Pet Sematary is set to debut exclusively on the Paramount+ streaming service.
