'Renfield': Nicolas Cage Photographed in Costume as Dracula on Set of Universal Horror Comedy

A couple of photos straight from the set of the upcoming Universal Monsters horror comedy Renfield has revealed a first look Nicolas Cage in full costume as Dracula. Cage’s co-star The Great‘s Nicholas Hoult was also captured on the set with a bloody face and a chest full of what looks to be bullet holes. We have embedded a look at Cage’s character below.

Be sure to head on over to the People website for more shots from the set of Renfield.

The film’s plot centers on Renfield, who

has grown sick and tired of his centuries as Dracula’s lackey. The henchman finds a new lease on life life and maybe even redemption when he falls for feisty, perennially angry traffic cop Rebecca Quincy.

The film also stars Adrian Martinez, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Bess Rous, James Moses Black, and Ben Schwartz.

Based on an idea written by “The Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman. Renfield is being directed by The Tomorrow War‘s Chris McKay from a script written by Ryan Ridley (“Rick and Morty”).

How cool is Cage’s Dracula costume and pale-faced makeup? Are you excited to check out Renfield next year when it’s released in theaters? As usual, you let us know the answer to both questions down in our comments section below this news article.

Renfield will spill blood in theaters on April 14th, 2023.
