Season Two of "Mr. Mercedes" Hits AT&T's Audience Network This August

As reported back in October of 2017, AT&T Audience Network’s “Mr. Mercedes” was renewed for a second season. Dark Universe also learned today via Deadline that the TV series, based on the Stephen King novel, will return for another season this August.

While we don’t really know a whole lot about the second season of the TV series, we’ve included what we do know for you below.

A retired police detective, a teenage black boy, and a neurotic woman team up to form an unlikely group of heroes who stop a killer known as Mr. Mercedes from detonating a bomb during a sold out pop concert in this novel by Stephen King. Mr. Mercedes is the first installment in the Bill Hodges trilogy.

The second season takes place a year after Brady Hartsfield’s thwarted attempt to perpetrate a second mass murder in the community of Bridgton, Ohio. Since the incident, Hartsfield has been hospitalized in a vegetative state. Retired Detective Bill Hodges has done his best to move on from his Brady obsession, teaming up with Holly Gibney to open Finders Keepers, a private investigative agency. But when unexplainable occurrences begin to affect hospital staff members attending to Brady, Hodges is haunted by the feeling that Brady is somehow responsible.
