The Crow Brandon Lee Still

Sony announced today that The Crow remake, which is set to be directed by Corin Hardy and stars Jason Momoa in the role as Eric Draven, will officially open in theaters on October 11th, 2019. Big thanks goes out to the folks over at The Hollywood Reporter for the heads up.

The Crow Reborn is being teased as a reboot of the 1994 film as well as a more faithful adaptation of the original graphic novel written by James O’Barr.

Like the original, the story follows Eric Draven, a murder victim who returns from the dead, seeking vengeance on those who murdered him and his fiancée with the help of a mystical bird.

Samuel Hadida’s Davis Films, Highland Film Group and Electric Shadow previously acquired the rights to finance, produce and distribute the film.

Edward R. Pressman, who produced the original 1994 film starring Brandon Lee, will produce The Crow Reborn alongside Hadida and Kevin Misher of Misher Films. Highland Film Group and Electric Shadow are also producing, with HFG handling international sales. The film was developed by Pressman and Relativity.
