“Stranger Things” Star Finn Wolfhard in Stephen King's 'It' Adaptation

Take a first look at “Stranger Things” star Finn Wolfhard in Stephen King’s IT adaptation, which was shared by producer Barbara Muschietti on her Instagram page. We think this could be for familiar scene taken from the original, preparing for the first appearance of Pennywise.

In a small town in Maine, seven children known as The Losers’ Club come face to face with life problems, bullies, and a monster that takes the shape of a clown called Pennywise.”

Starring Javier Botet, Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Owen Teague, Nicholas Hamilton, and Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise.

Director Andy Muschietti recently explained why Pennywise is such a menacing villain. “Pennywise shows up, he’s front and center, and he does his show. He has an act,” Muschietti says. “So it’s weird all the time, and every little thing implies a further threat.

Andy Muschietti (Mama) directs from a screenplay by Gary Dauberman and Chase Palmer. Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Seth Grahame-Smith, David Katzenberg, and Barbara Muschietti produce.

Creature performer Javier Botet plays The Leper, and Owen Teague plays Patrick Hocksetter, a bully who torment the Losers’ Club.

Andy Muschietti’s IT adaptation will hit theaters on September 8, 2017.
