Tasty New Poster For 'Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City'

Later this month, Resident Evil fans are invited to return to Raccoon City in Sony’s upcoming reboot Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. Directed by Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down), the new film is said to be more true to the storyline of Capcom’s videogame series than the previous motion picture franchise was.

Recently, actor Chad Rook, who plays Richard Aiken in the upcoming movie, shared a brand new poster for Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City via Twitter. The new one sheet puts us up close and personal with the ‘Licker,’ which is just one of the many crazy creatures we’ll be seeing in the flick.

“Returning to the terrifying roots of the massively popular franchise, fan and filmmaker Johannes Roberts brings the games of the billion dollar franchise and the most successful video game adaptation in history to life for a whole new generation of fans.”

Once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, the townspeople are forever…changed…and a small group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.

The film stars Kaya Scodelario (Crawl), Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man and the Wasp), Robbie Amell (The Babysitter), Neal McDonough (The Guardian), Avan Jogia (Zombieland: Double Tap) and Tom Hopper (The Umbrell Acadmey).

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City arrives in theaters November, 24th, 2021.
