'Teen Wolf' Movie Casts Tyler Hoechlin in Reprise Role as Derek Hale

MTV “Teen Wolf” series star Tyler Hoechlin has officially signed on to reprise his role as Derek Hale in the new Paramount+ Teen Wolf revival movie, confirms the folks at TVLine this week. We are also hearing that Hoechlin and his co-star Tyler Posey will also serve as producers.

Here’s the official synopsis for Teen Wolf:

“A full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of banshees, werecoyotes, hellhounds, kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a werewolf like Scott McCall (Posey), no longer a teenager yet still an alpha, can gather both new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they’ve ever faced.”

According to a report via Deadline, almost all of the cast from the TV series are returning. Check out the link provided for a full run down of the entire cast announced thus far.

“Teen Wolf” series creator Jeff Davis will write and produce the new Teen Wolf movie.
