'Terminator' Franchise is Still Alive, Major Announcement Coming!

It was reported just a few days ago that the Terminator franchise was left dead in the water at Paramount. Well, things might not be so positive at Paramount regarding the films future, but there is still life left in the franchise.

There was a news report from early last year that James Cameron wanted to return to the Terminator franchise, recruiting Deadpool director Tim Miller to helm the project.

Today, the guys over at Collider spoke with Skydance head David Ellison, who revealed that a major announcement is coming in 2017.

Said David Ellison on the future of the franchise:

I will say we have resolved the future of the franchise and believe me its an incredibly bright future. I think where it’s going will be the continuation of what the fans really wanted since T2.”

“We have something this year that we will be announcing for the franchise. It’s something we’re incredibly excited about and we think is the direction it needs to head.

At least this is some good news for the legendary Terminator franchise, and we can only hope that last years update will be the big announcement we all want to hear. Dark Universe will stay on this story.
