'Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey' Official Poster Art Wields a Bloody Hammer

Winnie the Pooh, the beloved teddy bear created by English author A. A. Milne and illustrator E.H Shepard, is about to get a dark reimagining from ITN Studios. Before its debut, an official poster for writer/director Rhys Waterfield’s new slasher film Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey has hammered its way online this week via Dread Central.

Waterfield explained the plot of the film in a recent interview with Variety:

Pooh and Piglet (go) on a rampage after being abandoned by a college-bound Christopher Robin. “Christopher Robin is pulled away from them, and he’s not [given] them food, it’s made Pooh and Piglet’s life quite difficult. Because they’ve had to fend for themselves so much, they’ve essentially become feral. So they’ve gone back to their animal roots. They’re no longer tame: they’re like a vicious bear and pig who want to go around and try and find prey.

The film stars Amber Doig-Thorne, Maria Taylor, Danielle Ronald, May Kelly, Natasha Tosini, Marcus Massey, Gillian Broderick, Richard Harfst, Natasha Rose Mills, Paula Coiz, Danielle Scott, and Bao Tieu, with Craig David Dowsett as Winnie and Chris Cordell as Piglet.
