Xavier Dolan and Will Beinbrink Join Cast of New Line’s ‘IT Chapter Two’



IT: Chapter Two Casts Actors Xavier Dolan & Will Beinbrink for the Sequel

Two more faces have joined the cast of New Line Cinema’s IT: Chapter Two, actors Xavier Dolan and Will Beinbrink will play two characters from the book and the 1990s miniseries. Argentine filmmaker and screenwriter Andy Muschietti returns once again to direct the sequel to last year’s smash hit.

Deadline reports that Dolan will be playing the role of Adrian Mellon. In the Stephen King novel, Mellon was a gay man living in Derry who was attacked by bullies. Beinbrink will play Tom Rogan who was Beverly’s abusive lover in the book and the 1990s miniseries.

Cinematographer Checco Varese (“The Strain”, “True Blood”) will be lensing IT: Chapter 2The Handmaiden and Oldboy DP Chung-hoon Chung was the cinematographer on the first IT to great success.

The cast of IT: Chapter Two includes Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh, James McAvoy (Split) as, Bill Hader (“Saturday Night Live”) as Richie, James Ransone (SinisterSinister 2) as Eddie, Andy Bean (Allegiant) as Stanley, Jay Ryan (“Beauty and the Beast”) as Ben, and Isaiah Mustafa as Mike. Bill Skarsgard will reprise his role as Pennywise.

IT: Chapter 2 is scheduled to begin production in Toronto, Canada this July. Filming will take place again at Pinewood Toronto Studios and will wrap on October 20th. Gary Dauberman is writing the script.

The evil clown Pennywise returns 27 years later to torment the grown-up members of the Losers’ Club.

IT: Chapter 2 is due to hit theaters on September 6th2019.
