'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' Trailer: Leatherface Fires Up His Chainsaw in First Look at Netflix Sequel! [Video]

Leatherface is set to make his return to horror in Netflix‘s new Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which is a direct sequel to Tobe Hooper’s original 1974 classic. Today we have our first proper look at the Fede Alvarez-produced film with the arrival of a new trailer out of Comic Con Experience. You can take a look at the carnage in the embedded video below.

After rumours starting circulating around online news websites that Texas Chainsaw Massacre received negative reviews from attendees at a recent test screening, Alvarez wasted no time in squashing the rumour and letting everyone know that the film tested positively well.

According to Netflix’s synopsis, the film follows:

“Melody, her teenage sister Lila, and their friends Dante and Ruth, as they head to the remote town of Harlow, Texas, to start an idealistic new business venture. But their dream soon turns into a waking nightmare when they accidentally disrupt the home of Leatherface, the deranged serial killer whose blood-soaked legacy continues to haunt the area’s residents — including Sally Hardesty, the sole survivor of his infamous 1973 massacre who’s hell-bent on seeking revenge.”

The film stars Mark Burnham as Leatherface, Olwen Fouéré as Sally Hardesty, Elsie FisherSarah YarkinJacob LatimoreAlice KrigeNell HudsonJessica AllainSam DouglasWilliam HopeJolyon Coy, and Moe Dunford.
