The Evil Dead property has seen a resurgence recently with the release of the official video game from the talented peeps at Saber Interactive. Next up we have a new Evil Dead sequel to look forward from director Lee Cronin titled Evil Dead Rise, which is expected to release this fall. And if you thought it couldn’t get any better, our friends at Collider are reporting this week that Evil Dead franchise icon Bruce Campbell has confirmed discussions have taken place in hopes to continue the TV series “Ash vs. Evil Dead” as an animated series.

During an interview with the site, Campbell revealed that he is open to providing the voice for a potential animated series:

Yeah, as an animated series. You pick up right where the show left off. You can do the future a lot easier in animation. You know, and I still sound like Ash. My voice hasn’t been as beat-up as my body has been, so I can still do that crap. So I’ll still do the video game and we’re already talking about an animated series.

Campbell also commented this week on the new Evil Dead sequel Evil Dead Rise, stating that the film received a very positive rating at a recent test screening. Follow the link to read the full article.
