"Chucky": David Kohlsmith Lands Role as Young Charles Lee Ray in Don Mancini's TV Series

A piece of news making its rounds this week originally shared by the BD website is that 5-year-old David Kohlsmith (The Prodigy) has been cast as a young Charles Lee Ray in Don Mancini‘s Child’s Play TV Series “Chucky“. The source has since gone on to confirm that this is indeed a done deal and we could not be happier with the casting choice.

The series begins when:

a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies and allies from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.

Brad Dourif returns as the voice of Chucky.

The series also stars Jennifer Tilly, Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise, and Devon Sawa.
