HBO Max Greenlights 'The Shining' Spin-off TV Show "Overlook"

With HBO Max set to launch on May 27th, many have wondered what future content the new streaming service will provide. WarnerMedia signed a TV and film deal last fall with J.J. Abrams production company Bad Robot and we now know HBO Max will be using this deal to launch different TV shows. Among them is a new series titled “Overlook“, inspired by Stephen King’s The Shining.

“Overlook” brings together the same minds that developed “Castle Rock”, a series for Hulu that also had the involvement of Bad Robot and Stephen King. “Overlook” is described as a horror-thriller series that explores the untold stories of the Overlook Hotel, the most famous haunted hotel in American fiction.

Details regarding the new horror series have yet to be announced so stay tuned for any further information.
