"I know What You Did Last Summer": Amazon TV Series Hooks an October Release

Amazon Studios announced during their Comic-Con slot this past Friday evening that the upcoming “I Know What You Did Last Summer” TV series, written by Sara Goodman and based on the 1973 novel by Lois Duncan, has hooked itself a release date sometime this October. The pilot episode will be directed by Craig William Macneill (Lizzie).

The show will share a premise with the movie, in which a group of teenagers is stalked by a killer a year after a fatal accident on their graduation night, but put a modern spin on the material.

In a town full of secrets, a group of teenagers are stalked by a mysterious killer a year after a fatal accident on their graduation night.

Shay Hatten, Original Film’s Moritz and Pavun Shetty, Erik Feig and Atomic Monster’s James Wan, Rob Hackett and Michael Clear are also executive producers on the project.
