'Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed' Lands Late Summer Release Date, "Clone Carnage" Multiplayer Spinoff

“Any of those monkeys lay a finger on me, I’ll rip ‘em a new asshole!”

Imagine 11 year old me hearing that in a video game for the first time, busting up laughing at the sheer ridiculousness of Cryptosporidium-137 and his silver tongue. Though I admittedly never beat the game when I was younger, Destroy All Humans! holds a special place in my heart for its satire, the pure destructibility of the environments, and the variety of missions presented both as part of the story and as side quests.

The fall of 2020 gave us a remake of the first title, and since then, fans of the late sixth-generation console franchise have been clamoring for the swinging second installment to get the same. Not only is Destroy All Humans! 2 coming at summer’s end, but there’s a spinoff game available right now to keep one satiated until the need for human annihilation really hits.

As the original release did in 2007, Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed will allow for split-screen co-op for the full campaign, allowing for local mutually assured destruction across the global maps presented throughout. The game is rebuilt from the ground up, with virtually the entire story left the same, but brought up in visual quality and gameplay sensibility for modern consoles.

As a pre-order bonus, as well as a standalone game for those not down with getting the new remake (now that’s an oxymoron), there is Destroy All Humans!: Clone Carnage, which boasts four modes of gameplay for up to four players. Players can also dress up their Crypto in the skins featured in the 2020 remake of game one, including the Midas Touch golden skin and the seasonal Krampus outfit. Clone Carnage also features split-screen local co-op.

Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed releases on August 30th, 2022 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. See the trailers for both it and Clone Carnage below:
